The dismissed owner of Azerbaijan’s oligarchic company Azİmport and ex-director of the National Flag Square Complex under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, Rashad Mammadov, who has been arrested in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, stated that has no Armenian relatives.

The chairman of Azerbaijan’s committee that fights against torture, Elchin Behbudov, met with Mammadov in his detention hall, reported Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan.

The human rights activist noted that he got familiarized with the detention conditions of Mammadov.

Behbudov also stated that Mammadov denied the information that he is related to Armenians.

Rashad Mammadov is charged with large-scale fraud.
