Armenia’s population totals 3, 254,000 as of July 1, 2010 with 64% urban residents and 36% -villagers, the RA National Statistical Service informed NEWS.am.

The population of Yerevan reached 1,119,000 - 34.4 % out of overall population of Armenia. Armavir region has the largest population - 284,900, whereas Vayots Dzor - the smallest (55,900).

Gyumri has 146,000 residents, Vanadzor – 105,000 and Kapan – 62,000.
