YEREVAN. – The Minister of Transport and Communication Armenia, Gagik Beglaryan, met with Chairman of the Board of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), Wu Wanliang, and several other CCECC representatives.

The minister expressed the hope that the matters being discussed and the agreements being reached during such talks will contribute to the development of Armenia’s infrastructure.

Wu, in turn, reaffirmed the CCECC’s wish to participate in the construction project of Armenia’s southern railway.

The Chinese side also presented several possible mechanisms for funding this project.

The parties discussed the distinctiveness of the implementation of this project, and stressed this railway construction’s importance for Armenia and the entire region, alike.
