YEREVAN. - It’s already the sixth day the protest and sit-in against electricity price hike is continuing in Armenia’s Gyumri city.

As reported by Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent in Gyumri, Artsakh War participants have also joined the protestors.

The war veterans said they have come to Gyumri’s Theatre Square to encourage the young men.

War veteran Gevorg Amirkhanyan said they don’t believe the audit to be conducted in Russian-owned Electric Networks of Armenia and are sure the electricity tariff will rise afterwards.

“We don’t believe the audit, they’re again blowing smoke in people’s eyes,” Amirkhanyan said.

Despite the rainy weather, Gyumri citizens are continuing the protest. Clergymen and culture representatives have also joined the protestors.
