YEREVAN. – The mayor of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan, met with Ara Najarian, the Mayor of Glendale, California, USA.

First, Margaryan congratulated Najarian for being elected Mayor of Glendale—which is a densely Armenian-populated US city—, and wished him success in his accountable work.

The mayor of Armenia’s capital city outlined the domains within the framework of which the Yerevan Municipality is productively collaborating with its sister and partner cities. Margaryan expressed the hope that his Armenian colleague from the US likewise will contribute so that Yerevan’s collaboration with Glendale also becomes productive and successful.

Najarian, for his part, underscored the activeness of the Glendale Armenian community, and stressed that the latter has a special and important role in the development of this American city. The mayor of Glendale also assured that he will do his utmost to achieve closer ties and undertake new projects between Yerevan and Glendale.
