YEREVAN. - The “No to Plunder” initiative is shifting to a new platform without forgetting and leaving the street struggle, the “No to Plunder” initiative member Vaghinak Shushanyan announced in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

According to him, they can take to the streets and block Baghramyan Avenue any moment. “Staying there has yielded its results and continues to do so. The people staying they maintain relevance. Currently the government has made half step back, half step. Not that we have made one step back, but they have made a half step back.

Auditing group has been set up to investigate the costs and wastefulness of the Electric Networks of Armenia (EPA). Activists, economists, international experts and public representatives have been invited to follow all this [process]. 2-3 people from the initiative can also take part. But the participation is stillin the stage of discussion. It’s necessary to understand whether it will be correct to take part in the audit or not,” he said, adding that during the next stage lawyers, economists and experts will be selected, who will be able to analyze and find out whether the audit will be merely formal in nature.

Speaking of going to Baghramyan Avenue, Shushanyan said: "I’m ready to go [there] every day, stand [there], get watered and beaten up. But we’ll achieve nothing by continuously hitting the concrete wall. For this purpose we must increase the struggle platform. We must hit from all the sides so that they become weaker.”
