YEREVAN. – Some international agencies have rushed with deteriorating outlook for Armenia, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said during an economic forum in Yerevan.

He recalled that last year GDP grew by 3.5 percent, while in the first quarter of 2015 by 2.2 percent. According to national statistical service, economic activity rate has increased by 2.7 percent, and growth was registered in all sectors, except for trade. Industry went up by 4.5 percent, agriculture by 6 percent, services by 3.8 percent and construction by 0.4 percent.

“No one said there would be no difficulties that would affect the regional states, and especiallt our trade partners. However, we have to rely on our own capabilities and forces,” the Minister said.
