YEREVAN. - The situation in Baghramyan Avenue has calmed down. The police have moved part of their forces back, while the protestors are dancing or holding public discussions.

The police prohibited the protestors struggling against electricity price hike to install loudspeakers, but the latter managed to retain the sound equipment, as reported by Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent.

Armenia Deputy Chief of Police Hunan Poghosyan and Yerevan Deputy Chief of Police Valery Osipyan along with a group of ‘angels’ tried to come closer to the installed loudspeakers and seize them, but the protestors formed a large row and didn’t allow them to do so.

The police left the sit-in site, moving part of their forces back, following which the situation lost its tension.
