YEREVAN. - New initiative against the electricity price hike has been formed in Yerevan’s Baghramyan Avenue. The group will coordinate the work of other groups in the sit-in site, protestor Narek Ayvazyan said, noting that 10-member groups have been created, each of them having one representative in the new initiating group.
Specifically, fast response, public order management, technical issues, public relations, legal, as well as financial and economic groups have been created. New groups may be created, each of them having one member in the initiating group.
The latter will include Narek Ayvazyan, Babken Ter-Grigoryan, Davit Sanasaryan, Hunan Knyazyan, Hovik Yenokyan, Arthur Harutyunyan, Armen Hayrapetyan, Pavel Grigoryan, Hmayak Mkrtchyan, Vahagn Levonyan, Davis Sahakyan, Ara Shahverdyan and David Hovhannisyan.
According to Narek Ayvazyan, the group is manly composed of boys, but this hasn’t been done for purpose, and in the future they will also try to engage girls.
The situation in Baghramyan Avenue is calm at the moment. The music is switched off, and the protestors are playing intellectual games, singing, and holding discussions.
