YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Wednesday received members of the American Armenian Najarian family of benefactors.

In addition, the President awarded Vartkes and Mary Najarian with the 2nd Degree Order for Service to the Motherland, and in recognition of their significant contribution to the strengthening of Motherland-Diaspora ties and longstanding charitable and humanitarian activities.

Sargsyan also congratulated them for their benevolent activities in the US, Armenia, and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

He stressed that the Armenian people highly appreciate the patriotic activities of American Armenian patrons.

The Najarian family members, for their part, thanked the President of Armenia for bestowing upon them the high award of the Motherland. They also assured that they will continue to keep the bond with the Motherland strong, and be useful for Armenia and the Armenian nation.
