YEREVAN. – The military equipment purchased within Armenian-Russian inter-governmental export loan will provide an opportunity to improve weaponry on Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan said.
According to the official, the weaponry will enable to tackle a complex task.
Artsvik Minasyan, a deputy from ARF Dashnaktsutyun group, asked why the calculations are made in US dollars when Russia provides a loan in rubles.
“This is the policy of the Russian side. As far as I know, otherwise, the sides would need a third bank, in addition to the Russian and the Central Bank of Armenia, and this could have led to delay in signing of the document,” Nazaryan said.
