YEREVAN. – Armenia has already exported 40,053 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables so far in the current year, against the 25,719 tons that were exported the same period last year.

The Ministry of Agriculture has issued a respective press release.

Accordingly, 14,463 tons of apricots were exported as of Monday, July 6, 2015, as compared to the 1,791 tons that were exported all through last year.

In addition, Armenia has exported 1,324 tons of cherries as of Monday, against the 370 tons that were exported throughout the year past.

The Armenian cherries were primarily exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, the UAE, and Switzerland.
