YEREVAN. – President of the National Assembly, Galust Sahakyan, on Tuesday received Turkmenistan’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Muhammad Niaz Mashalov.

First, Sahakyan congratulated Mashalov for commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia. He also underscored the need to develop Armenia-Turkmenistan cooperation especially in the cultural and economic domains.

The Turkmen ambassador, for his part, assured that he will do his utmost to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors highlighted the exchange visits of parliamentarians, discussed the need for implementing new projects, and reflected on matters of bilateral interest.
