YEREVAN. – Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday received Herbert Salber, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

Armenian FM briefed the EU official on the events marking the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.

The parties discussed efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group targeted at advancing the peaceful talks on the settlement of Karabakh conflict.

SMinister Nalbandian and EU representative touched upon the Riga summit declaration that expressed support for the efforts of the leaders of the OCE Minsk Group Co-Chairing states and their statement made in 2009.

The EU representative noted there is no alternative to peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict and reassured EU assistance to the talks held in OSCE Minsk Group format.
