YEREVAN. - Employees of Armenia’s rubber plant Nairi will again gather in front of the Armenian Government building Thursday, if their wage arrears are not transferred to their accounts by then, the Plant spokeswoman Anush Harutyunyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to her, the workers had temporarily stopped the protests, since the government had promised to clear their wage arrears before July 15. “To keep their promise, they should begin transferring the amounts starting from tomorrow. I don’t think it’s possible to transfer 12 million AMD to all the accounts in a day,” Anush Harutyunyan said.

Earlier, Yervand Zakharyan, Armenia’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, met with the plant workers and told them that upon the instruction of the President their wage arrears will be cleared by July 15.
