YEREVAN. - Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan today received Georgia’s Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia. 

The PM welcomed the visit of Georgia’s Minister of Agriculture to Armenia, saying it would contribute to the further expansion of efficient cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the area of agriculture. Highly appreciating the level of friendly relations and interstate dialogue between the two countries, Abrahamyan attached importance to the reciprocal visits and close working communication.

Otar Danelia thanked for the reception and said he’s impressed by the level of agricultural development in Armenia. He also presented the agreements reached as a result of the visit.

According to the interlocutors, the present efficient cooperation provides serious momentum for closer ties in the sphere of agriculture between Armenia and Georgia.  They also discussed a number of issues relating to the expansion of cooperation.

The pair stressed that the development of agricultural sphere is one of the priorities in terms of sustainable development. They reaffirmed the agreements reached, as well as the readiness to support the implementation of new joint programs. Besides, Hovik Abrahamyan and Otar Danelia expressed confidence with regard to the fact that Armenia’s and Georgia’s membership to different economic unions will create new opportunities for the business circles of both countries.

Armenia’s PM attached importance to the fact that Georgian government has extended the work hours of Verin Lars border crossing point by three hours, which will contribute to the uninterrupted organization of transportation and transit processes.
