A New Zealand father Samuel Forrest, whose son Leo was diagnosed with Down syndrome, didn’t want his Armenian wife Ruzan as a trustee of their baby's half million dollar trust for her own "protection", Stuff reports.

Forrest is also facing accusations he misused his son's trust funds by a former trustee, Trina McLachlan.

As reported earlier, Samual Forrest  is being accused of misspending the money raised for his Down syndrome son.

"I wanted to know where all the money was, and Sam explained that there were a lot of fees through the fundraising pages, but he really didn't give a good enough explanation to cover the amount of money that was missing," second trustee Trina McLachlan said.

New Zealand citizen Samuel Forrest and Ruzan Badalyan – the parents of little Leo diagnosed with Down syndrome – had reconciled with each other and moved to New Zealand.

Leo was born in Yerevan on January 21. He was diagnosed with Down syndrome. His father made headlines by launching 'Bring Leo Home' campaign on GoFundMe. More than $500,000 has been raised so far.

Samuel first accused his wife of abandoning their son, while Ruzan Badalyan took to Facebook to tell the world about her difficult decision that she made for the sake of her son. She said Leo would have everything in New Zealand.
