YEREVAN. – It is relatively calm at the moment on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the Press Secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“There were numerous [ceasefire] violations at night,” Hovhannisyan also noted. “[But] fortunately, we don’t have [any] casualties and injuries.”

In his words, Azerbaijan is firing solely at the Armenian military positions.

Hovhannisyan also wrote a comment on his Facebook account.

“They [i.e. Azerbaijan] fired with both large-caliber rifle weaponry and (…) mine throwers. Overall, the number of [ceasefire] violations exceeds 160. The subdivisions of the Armenian military force have fired retaliatory shots when necessary, and caused casualties and damages to the adversary,” the comment specifically reads.
