YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan, on Saturday received Ambassador Traian Hristea, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, who is ending his mission in the country.

Ohanyan noted that Armenia-EU relations have intensified in recent times. The Armenian defense minister also underscored the EU’s assistance in the ongoing reforms in public administration and the development of democratic institutions in Armenia. He expressed the hope that the Armenia-EU collaboration and discourse will continue.

Minister Ohanyan stated that Ambassador Hristea has carried out a very active and productive work during his tenure in Armenia, and contributed to the expansion of Armenia-EU cooperation.

Seyran Ohanyan highlighted that representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia participate in the events that are organized within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program.

At the end of the talk, the Armenian defense minister thanked Traian Hristea for his work conducted during his term of office in Armenia as head of the EU mission in the country, and wished him success and new accomplishments in his future professional activities.
