The Fujisaki Electric Co., Ltd of Japan plans to build the world’s first electric power plant that will produce energy by burning reed. 

The construction this power station will start in January 2016, and its operation is planned to get underway in early 2017.

The company management has stated that the capacity of this plant will be enough to provide electricity to 4,800 households, reported Informing.

A total of US$19.4 million will be allocated for the construction of this electric power station.
