Biologists have discovered a new species of bats that belong to the Lonchophylla genus. 

Even though these bats were displayed in the collections of museums of natural sciences for over one hundred years, they were classified under another genus of bats.

It should be noted that this new species of bats has been classified as inexpectata, since this discovery was a surprise even for scientists.
