YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received a report on Monday at 2:42am.

Accordingly, a vehicle had gone off road and overturned in a ravine in capital city Yerevan.

A fire and rescue squad as well as a rescue center team were dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that the said car had gone off road for yet unknown reasons, and rolled 30 meters into a ravine and into rocks.

Prior to the rescue workers’ arrival at the scene, however, driver Karen V., 36, came out of the automobile on his own. 

The rescue workers brought the driver out of the ravine on a stretcher, and took him to the waiting ambulance.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where the doctors said the patient was in very critical condition.

And later on in the morning, Karen V. died without regaining consciousness.
