YEREVAN. - Armenia’s First Deputy Minister of Justice, acting Minister Arsen Mkrtchyan and Deputy Minister Vigen Kocharyan received the EU delegation to Armenia headed by Ambassador Traian Hristea on July 27.

Mkrtchyan thanked Hristea, completing his mission in Armenia, as well as his team for the effective work, based on mutual trust. According to him, the Ambassador has always been open to cooperation and approached all the work with understanding.

“We have achieved a lot thanks to you. We highly appreciate all the EU initiatives which contributed to the development of our field. And we’ll do our best to turn them into reality,” Mkrtchyan said. 

Ambassador Traian Hristea thanked for the fruitful cooperation, calling it very effective and exclusive in terms of its volume. According to him, the EU is always ready to back legal reforms in Armenia and raise the public awareness to them. Hristea highly appreciated the legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Justice and underscored the importance of the civil society in making decisions.  

Acting Minister Arsen Mkrtchyan also underscored the importance of the civil society, adding that its participation will help make decisions satisfying the requirements of the society.
