YEREVAN. - According to the expert conclusion of the World Bank (WB) representatives, “Nairit” plant has to be closed down, that’s why the Armenian parliament MPs refused to listen to them, Samvel Farmanyan, MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

During the meeting convened in the parliament on the issue of “Nairit,” Farmanyan also voted against the statement of the WB representatives.

“We are against closing “Nairit.” The government is also against it. We think we must do our best to find means for re-operating the plant,” Farmanyan said.

The WB representatives declined to present the results of the audit in the presence of journalists. The MPs, in their turn, refused to listen to the bank experts.
