YEREVAN. - Last time representatives of “Rosneft” visited [Armenia’s] Nairit plant 1,5-2 years ago, Ruben Saghatelyan, director of Nairit Plant CJSC told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The representatives of another Russian chemical concern, ITERA, once also considered a possible investor, do not visit the plant either.

“There are currently no other interested investors to see over the plant,” Nairit Director said.   

In February 2012, Armenian News – NEWS.am reported that the Russian ITERA Holdings was going to help Nairit chose engineering company for integrated audit. The working group of the holding visited the plant in October 2011.  

By the end of February 2014, Armenia’s ex-PM Tigran Sargsyan stated that at the meeting with Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev, the report of Igor Sechin, President of “Rosneft” was presented. The aforementioned report related to the readiness of the concern to invest around $500 million into the construction of the plant on the basis of Nairit.
