Six candidates to the post of the governor of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai have submitted documents necessary for registration. Currently, the documents of five candidates, including the signatures of the municipal heads and MPs in their support are being checked, the election committee reported to TASS.

According to the committee, Nikolai Osadchy, leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), Social Protection Party spokesman Victor Ponomaryov,  head of the “Honest Russia” branch Andrey Rudenko, Sergey Fisyuk, acting coordinator of the regional Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), as well as Michael Abrahamyan from “Communist Russia” party have submitted their documents.

The gubernatorial election will be held on September 13.
