YEREVAN. - Armenian Army Reserve Coronel Volodya Avetisyan, who is sentenced to 6 years and 6 months of imprisonment on charge of fraud, has himself urged his military friends to stage a sit-in and continue the struggle started by him, Avetisyan’s wife, Margarita Baghramyan, told Armenian News – NEWS.am. Although Baghramyan doesn’t believe that the sit-in will yield any results and her husband will be released, she doesn’t mind the struggle in this format.

“Volodya had a phone call from the place of confinement with the sit-in organizers, and urged them to continue the struggle started by him by all means, not only for the solution of the social problems of Karabakh War veterans, but also for his release,” she said.

Open-ended sit-in is continuing for already the fourth day in Yerevan’s Liberty Square. The protestors are demanding to immediately release Army Reserve Coronel Volodya Avetisyan.
