YEREVAN. - “Stand up, Armenia” initiative will continue its civil disobedience actions unless the police are forced to accumulate disproportionate forces in the Republic Square and surround it, former presidential candidate and initiative council member Andrias Ghukasyan today told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, these kinds of actions are aimed at forcing the government to think that it’s better to obey their requirements than waste such resources.  

The situation in the square is peaceful at the moment. Large number of police will continue to control the activists.

The protestors, about several dozens of people, are scanning “No to electricity price hike!”
