YEREVAN. – Any internal crisis in Turkey is in Armenia's interests, turkologist Gevorg Petrosyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.
From the point of view of Armenia's interests, there is nothing unprecedented in Turkish-Kurdish clashes, since this situation has become natural since mid 80s.
“Ankara is engaged with its internal problems, and this is in Armenia's interests for a simple reason: one of the main pillars of Turkey's foreign policy is armenophobiya. Therefore, the fewer resources are focused on Turkey's anti-Armenian direction, the more advanatgious for us,” he said.
