YEREVAN. – The Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, received Ambassador Traian Hristea, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, who is ending his diplomatic mission in the country.

First the minister thanked the EU delegation leader for the work he has conducted and the education and science programs he has implemented during his mission in Armenia. Ashotyan recorded that cooperation with the EU was productive, and he especially highlighted the EU assistance in the ongoing reforms in Armenia’s higher and vocational education.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on the course of several EU education programs. The parties expressed confidence that Armenia’s active participation in all these programs will be continued.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Ashotyan awarded Ambassador Hristea with the certificate of appreciation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia, and in recognition of his close and productive collaboration with the ministry.
