YEREVAN. - According to Davit Sanasaryan, council member of the “Stand up, Armenia” initiative, the number of protestors in Yerevan’s Republic Square is increasing, but the citizens are not active enough.

The oppositionist told Armenian News – NEWS.am that “the citizens may be on holiday, that’s why the regime doesn’t panic.” He also reminded the citizens that they have promised to struggle till the end. “But if they continue like this, the tariff will rise starting from August 1,” Sanasaryan said.

According to him, the protest in the Republic Square will continue.

It's already several days, the protestors, struggling against electricity price hike, have been unsuccessfully trying to stage a sit-in in the center of the square.
