Over 20 children with symptoms of food poisoning were today taken to Martuni city medical centre of Armenia’s Gegharkunik province, Anush Poghosyan, head of Healthcare Department of the regional administration told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to her, part of the children was discharged from the hospital, while the rest are still passing an examination. “Currently we can’t precisely say what the reason of the poisoning was. Both water and food samples have been taken,” Poghosyan said.

The children were taken to hospital from a summer camp in Tsovinar village. The camp is owned by Yerkrapah Volunteer Union. But the camp declined to provide any information, saying that “nobody had been hospitalized from their camp.”
