YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Finance of Armenia has launched the system entitled “Customs Registration of International Postal and Courier Services.”

This automated system will enable to electronically input the data of the sent items, and which automatically registers them in case of the need to pay taxes.

“The main advantage of this reform is that the person will not have any dealings with the customs authorities,” noted the Deputy Minister of Finance, Vakhtang Mirumyan.

And the CEO of HayPost Trust Management, Juan Pablo Gechidjian, noted that, from now on, the residents of Armenia will be exempted from the taxes related to the imports of goods.

“Our goal is to improve and expand the services to meet customer needs, and create a new bridge between Armenia and abroad,” added Gechidjian.
