The closure of the OSCE office in Baku will inevitably remove one of the restraints that were in place to curb militant activity, Christopher Langton, who is Head of the Independent Conflict Research & Analysis (ICRA) center in the United Kingdom, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, it will not help either side in trying to manage the Karabakh conflict. “It is utterly regrettable that what seem like misguided thinking by diplomats and others in the international forum has led to this state of affairs,” Langton said.

On June 9, Azerbaijan informed the OSCE on its decision to close the office of its project coordinator in the country.
