YEREVAN. - Audit in the “Electric Networks of Armenia” (ENA) will be honest and transparent, Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Energy Areg Galstyan today stated in the Public Council of Armenia.

He disagreed with the opinion of the Council members, according to whom the auditors may be bribed to get a result, which will be harmless and acceptable to the authorities.

The proposal on conducting audit was sent to 5 auditing companies with the highest rating in the world. “I assure you, none of these companies will risk its reputation. If they agree to work in Armenia, they will conduct the audit according to world standards,” Galstyan said.

Despite the numerous protests, Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission approved on June 17 the electricity tariff rise by 6,93 AMD, which resulted in overall 48,78 AMD (appx. $10,3 cents).
