Iranian authorities want to purchase up to 90 planes per year from Boeing and Airbus.
“Iran will buy a total of 80-90 planes per year from the two aviation giants in the first phase of renovating its air fleet,” said Mohammad Khodakarami, the caretaker director of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, reported IRNA news agency of Iran.
In the Iranian official’s words, within the framework of the deal reached regarding Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions will be lifted likewise toward the sale, purchase, and leasing of aircrafts.
Khodakarami noted that, according to the purchase plan, the number of Iran’s fleet of aircrafts will reach 300 in three years.
IRNA also informed that Boeing and Airbus have already confirmed their plan to sell airplanes to Tehran, reported TASS news agency of Russia.
