YEREVAN. – The Deputy Minister of Economy, Sergey Avetisyan, on Monday met with representatives of the airlines that operate in Armenia.

The parties discussed the avenues for shifting the late-night hour flights in Armenia, and underscored the need to ensure favorable conditions for tourists visiting Armenia.

The representatives of the airlines substantiated the need for night flights in terms of convenient connections for transit flights. They argued that if the night flights in Armenia are changed, transit passengers will have to wait longer in airports for their connecting flights.

As a result—and as a possible solution—, the interlocutors conferred on the possibility of conducting more frequent daytime flights in Armenia, and which the representatives of the aforementioned airlines will discuss with their head offices.
