YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Tuesday received Belarusian Ambassador Stepan Sukharenko, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The PM highly praised the diplomat’s activities—during his tenure—toward strengthening Armenian-Belarusian relations, and thanked him for the productive cooperation. Abrahamyan also noted that Armenia underscores the deepening and expanding of collaboration with Belarus.

Ambassador Sukharenko, for his part, thanked PM Abrahamyan for the constructive cooperation, and added that he will remain a friend of Armenia and the Armenian people. He also stressed that Armenia is an important partner for Belarus, and expressed a conviction that ties between the two countries will continue to dynamically develop and strengthen.

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors exchanged views on the need to deepen Armenian-Belarusian economic relations, and expand cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
