A total of 1,500 villages, which are either abandoned or face disappearance, have been put up for sale in Spain.

A total of 120 of these villages already have all necessary documents for sale, whereas several months are needed to prepare the respective documentation of the remaining villages.

Even though the prices of these villages depend on their potential, more than 70 percent of them are in need of maintenance.

Both Spaniards and foreigners are interested in these villages, reported Euromag.

But the majority of the buyers of these villages are Americans, Germans, and the French, who are drawn to the fertile lands, and the opportunity to engage in agriculture.
