YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the seasonal employment program, a total of 5,629 people in Armenia have become temporary workers in the first half of 2015.

Press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has released a respective statement.

“The project budget has virtually doubled this year, as compared to the previous year.

“During the year, it is planned to sign contracts with 3,217 land users.

“As of August 14, contracts have been signed with 4,342 land users. As a result, [a total of] 5,629 beneficiaries have become temporarily employed.

“The total number of communities included in the program is 460, [and] the size of cultivated lands—7,076.745 hectares.

“New crops have been cultivated, [and] orchards have been created,” the statement specifically reads.
