YEREVAN. – The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yerevan assists—this year as well—in the initiatives being implemented in Armenia, and within the framework of the Small Grants Program.

Respective contracts were signed in recent days with the Armenian organizations whose projects had been approved, informed the embassy press service.

“We are glad that this year we got a great number of good applications,” said embassy Chargé d’Affaires Nadia Lichtenberger. “We discussed 125 applications, and it was hard for us to make a decision.”

The Small Grants Program of the embassy assists the short-term measures to address point poverty issues, and it can help improve the living conditions of the most susceptible groups of the society, giving the advantage to rural areas.

Overall, €41 000 will be allocated for this year’s projects.
