YEREVAN. – Overall, 53% of Armenian residents are forced to cut spending on clothes and footwear, Mr Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian Marketing Association NGO, told the media Friday, quoting the findings of the poll, conducted by the association on July 6-13 among 1,106 respondents across the country.

Armenian Marketing Association is a member of the Gallup International Association.

According to the survey, 39% said they were cutting their food expenses, while 35% stayed away from buying large household appliances or tried to buy cheaper ones. Meanwhile, 28 and 27% said they were forced to reduce spending on travel and entertainment, while 15% said they did not have to cut down their bills.
