YEREVAN. – The price of water supply in Armenia is planned to be increased.

The aforesaid is hinted by the Water Supply and Water Discharge Strategy and Funding Program, which the government had approved on  July 13, reported EcoLur NGO.

“The current water tariffs are rather low and they do not cover even the maintenance costs,” the project states, in particular. “The tariffs for the Armenian Water and Sewerage CJSC have not been reviewed since 2009.

All measures aimed at ensuring the execution of the aforementioned resolution of the government shall be laid down by no later than November 2015.
