YEREVAN. – The Prosecutor General of Armenia, Gevorg Kostanyan, traveled to Georgia on a working visit, and met with his Georgian colleague, Giorgi Badashvili.

The chief prosecutors of the two countries discussed the avenues for expanding cooperation between, and specifying functions and increasing efficiency of the Armenian and Georgian attorney generals’ offices, informed the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia.

They also underscored the current close cooperation in the customs domain.

Kostanyan noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia is Armenia’s reliable partner in terms of interstate cooperation in the fight against crime.

The attorney generals of Armenia and Georgia also stressed the need to sign a new memorandum that enables clearer cooperation.
