YEREVAN. - Resident of Yerevan Edgar Petrosyan is charged with intentionally hitting a Turkish citizen, Armenia's Judicial Department press-service reports.

According to the indictment, Edgar Petrosyan quarreled with the Turkish citizen Khalil Ferman Ic over a tranportation fee. During the quarrel, Edgar threatened him with a knife. But Khalil Ic grabbed the knife, came out of the car and tried to escape by running.

Edgar Petrosyan then intentionally hit the Turkish citizen. Petrosyan is charged under Articles 112 and 137(1) of the Armenian Criminal Code.

Recognizance not to leave has been selected as a preventive measure.

The case is considered by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan's Ajapnyan and Davtashen districts.
