Armenia’s Prosecutor General today had a meeting with his counterparts from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan.

Wide scope of issues on the effective cooperation between the EEU states in the legal field was discussed. Specifically, the issue on creating a new cooperation format between the prosecutor’s offices of the member states in the framework of the EEU was discussed, with the view of organizing effective struggle against the economic crimes.

Alexander Konyuk, Prosecutor General of Belarus, officially invited Armenia’s Prosecutor general to visit his country, where a new agreement is planned to be signed between the Prosecutor General’s offices of Armenia and Belarus.

The prosecutors general of both countries instructed the heads of relevant fields to prepare the text of the new agreement before November.

During the meeting with Kazakhstan’s Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev, the parties discussed issues related to EEU and those of bilateral interest. Besides, Daulbayev expressed eagerness to examine the rich practice of the Armenian Prosecutor General’s office in the areas of work with the European institutions and the European Court of Human Rights. 

During the meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s Prosecutor General Indira Joldubaeva, Armenia’s Prosecutor General congratulated her with the appointment in her now office. During the conversation, wide scope of issues on the further cooperation was discussed.
