Jacques Toranian, father of editor-in-chief of Nouvelles d’Armenie magazine, died in France today.

Toranian always promoted the issues of Armenians and was an active co-founder of one of the most powerful Armenian magazines in France.

He was also the father of Ara Toranian, a prominent public figure in the Armenian community of France.

Jacques Toranian’s funeral service will take place on September 1 at 11:30 at the Armenian church of St. John the Baptist in France.
