YEREVAN. – Former head of Yerevan police Nerses Nazaryan and his family have left Armenia, Zhoghovurd newspaper writes.

According to newspaper’s sources, the family has moved abroad and intends to stay there permanently. Family Nerses Nazaryan wants to settle in U.S. where they have their own business. Attempts to clarify the information from Nerses Nazaryan and his son Armen were not successful.

During former chief’s term in office, his family was engaged in business activities. After his resignation in April 2013, the situation has deteriorated, the newspaper writes, adding that the last of Moskvichka supermarkets belonging to the Nersisyan family closed last fall.
