YEREVAN. – Chairman of the opposition Founding Parliament Garegin Chugaszyan has been banned from leaving Armenia for the second time.

The statement distributed by the secretariat of the Founding Parliament notes that despite haing a signature bond, Garegin Chugaszyan had requested the investigators for a permission to participate in the meetings of the Council of Europe committee on internet freedom and relations between information flows, which will be held in early September in France.

However, the investigator rejected petition by Chugaszyan, explaining it by a lack of guarantees for the return of the opposition activist.

The investigator threatened Garegin Chugaszyan to commence proceedings in connection with violation of secrecy of the investigation if he announces the reasons for refusal.
