YEREVAN. – Internal investigation into the case of police officer who slapped an old man during a protest action has been suspended.

The materials have been sent to the Special Investigation Service, police said.

As reported earlier, Armenian police officer Arthur Vardgesyan was suspended after attacking an old man during a protest action on Friday. The Prosecutor General's Office has received a complaint from 67-year-old Hakob Nazari-Dekhnavi.
